The Governors of Holy Trinity Academy are looking to appoint a part-time School Chaplain.

The post requires a practising Catholic or Anglican who can show by example and from experience that they will ensure that the school is distinctively Catholic and Anglican in all its aspects.

24 HOURS PER WEEK (Days/times to be agreed)

TERM TIME + 5 PD days (to receive and deliver training)

NJC Scale 4 Points 7 to 11 £13.26 – £14.13 per hour

 The Chaplain, through their work and witness, will contribute to the spiritual and pastoral care of all members of the school community. They will have a central role in implementing the school vision statement and work with the Head Teacher in leading and developing the Christian (Catholic and Anglican) life of the school.  The Chaplain will be prepared to undergo training in order to ensure that this can be done. They will nurture the faith formation and liturgical life of the school community. The Chaplain may also work to enhance the Religious Education curriculum where appropriate.

Holy Trinity Academy is committed to the safeguarding and protection of children and young people.  The appointment will be subject to enhanced DBS (CRB) clearance for the successful applicant and is therefore exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. 8.1.  The post holder will be involved in Regulated Activity.
