Teacher feedback:

I just wanted to write again and thank you for today’s Inspire Event.Although I’ve visited the cathedral many times before, this was the first time I’d accompanied a school group. How inspirational. Wonderful to be able to share the history of the cathedral, access new technology, engage in global ethics and worship in a chapel.I think the children secretly enjoyed showing off their knowledge of Christianity too!Our lead teacher mentioned that she thought this year was better than ever which is quite the compliment.

Please pass on our thanks to others in the team too as we do appreciate the time and effort it takes to organise such events. I just want to know where I can get an apron now!

On behalf of all of us who attended the Inspire Event last Friday, I would like to say a huge thank you to you and the team for this fantastic event.  Everything was so well planned and organised.  We all had a wonderful time!  The children were talking enthusiastically about their experience on the coach journey back to school and were still singing ‘Peace like a river’!  It’s been requested for this week’s Worship through Song!  The day really did inspire!

Our Year 4s have been learning about the Amazon Rainforest as part of their English work linked to ‘The Great Kapok Tree’ and have focused on the story of Malala in PSHE, so it was great to have links to these within the Inspire event.

We have decided to present the Bibles to the children at their Leavers’ Service in Church.

Pupil feedback:

I loved getting to see such an impressive building, with all the detail and special sculptures. It really made me think about how talented some people are.

We felt really lucky to see the things we saw and experience the activities.

Singing in the chapel room was lovely, it made me feel confident to use my voice.

There was an activity that made me think about how lucky we are here in the UK, where we have food ready because some people struggle to live!

Thanks again for the amazing day!
