Dioceses and Trustees have a duty to ensure the effective (not merely nominal) continuance of the Church of England character of the Academy/ Academies, thus enabling the Trustees to show that they continue to carry out their trust and are providing their land for that purpose. 

The 2023 SIAMS Framework highlights and seeks understanding of the theology that underpins a school’s Christian vision. It provides a structure for inspectors, school and trust leaders to, collaboratively, gather evidence of how this vision enables people to flourish.

The Lichfield DBE provides training to school and academy leaders on the SIAMS framework, this particular, on line, module has been designed to help Academy Trustees understand the framework and enable them to support and challenge Church of England School leaders in their Trust.
