This course is being offered as 1 day in-person event or via 2 twilight on-line sessions. If you choose the on-line sessions you must commit to both days.
These sessions explore spiritual development within collective worship and across the curriculum (IQs 2 and 3) and creating a culture of justice and responsibility (IQ5).
We will explore the concept of spirituality, reflecting on the most recent research, educational practice and Christian tradition. The session will focus on the importance of spiritual development and its centrality for a distinctively Christian flourishing school, with practical ideas to help to promote, enable and evidence this within collective worship and across the curriculum.
There will also be the opportunity to explore what a culture of justice and responsibility looks like, with a focus on local, national, and global issues, and practical ideas to encourage and facilitate children to become courageous advocates and ‘agents of change’.
