This training is being offered over 2 on-line twilight sessions. You must commit to attending both twilight sessions.
These sessions explore spiritual development in both collective worship (IQ3) and across the curriculum (IQ2) as well as how to create a culture of justice and responsibility (IQ5).
You need to have completed the introduction to spirituality and creating a culture of justice and responsibility course, or have equivalent training and experience to access this course (please email us if you are unsure).
During these sessions, there will be opportunities to deepen understanding of the concept of spirituality, reflecting on Christian belief and tradition, as well as the most recent research and educational practice. The session will focus on developing the language of spirituality with children along with further embedding spiritual development across the curriculum. There will be opportunities to explore how spiritual development is at the heart of all things in a flourishing Church of England school.
There will also be the opportunity to explore a culture of justice and responsibility, focusing on local, national, and global issues with practical ideas to encourage and facilitate pupils to be ‘agents of change’.
