Dear colleagues,

We would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little more about our Christian Distinctiveness Advisers, or CDAs, and the work that they undertake in our schools. The team is very experienced and has a broad range of gifts and talents that they can offer you as leaders of our family of Church schools. Their profiles on the following pages of this booklet will give you a flavour of their range of experience and expertise.

Our family of Church schools is very important to us. They are places where children are offered the richness of experience that the Christian tradition supports. Through the work undertaken by our CDA team we hope that this richness of tradition can be encouraged, strengthened and enhanced in our schools. This is what makes our schools unique and distinctively different.

Schools have benefited from the valuable guidance and support our CDA team has offered over the years, for example in preparing schools for Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS). I am very pleased to say that the result has been that many of our schools have secured very positive outcomes in their SIAMS inspections.

As you may be aware, the SIAMS schedule was recently reviewed and a new schedule came into effect in 2018. Our CDA team are fully conversant and trained to guide our schools through these changes.

We would like to introduce our revised support agreement, which offers schools and academies the opportunity to access support from our CDA team and purchase a range of services designed to meet your needs. With budgets getting tighter, we have worked to provide a more flexible approach to enable support to be purchased at an affordable cost. Blessings,
